ABOUT THE CERTIFICATION

Attendance and participation across the two days will make you eligible for the Certified Scrum@Scale® Practitioner online examination. You will receive access to the online portal to register for the examination shortly after completion of the course. The certification includes a two-year membership at Scrum@Scale, where additional material, case studies and information are available.

PREREQUISITES

Ideally, attendees will have taken a Certified ScrumMaster course, or be thoroughly familiar with Scrum introduction materials, such as the Scrum Guide. They should also have experience in practicing Scrum.

In order that you get the most from your training, we recommend that you read the Scrum@Scale guide before attending the course to familiarize yourself with the framework.

COURSE MATERIAL

Participants will receive printed material on the first day of class. The material is in English. The material will be enhanced by more slides, videos and other pictures in case the trainer find this useful during class. The class is delivered using Scrum itself, so the teaching backlog will adapt in response to students feedbacks.

We shift the consciousness of participants so they they become aware of the root challenges and are able to discover lasting solutions.

Course Outline

Logistics

  • Pre-requisites: You are expected to have basic knowledge of Agile. This may have come to you through industry experience, reading, meetups or formal training. This course is designed for anyone seeking to foster a more “agile” high-performance organization. It is accessible and essential for leaders in innovation, lean, human resources, etc. – not just Agile.
  • Course Pre-learning: Participants are expected to complete 2 hours of videos and readings in advance of the training. Then there is more time to focus on discussion and exploration. The reading guide will be shared with participants after registration.

Certification Requirement & Schedule:

  • As part of the tuition, you will receive the Certified Agile Leader 1 (CAL1) certification from the Scrum Alliance.

As there is no test, the only requirement for certification is your full participation in the class. This means that you will need to schedule any travel so it does not conflict with scheduled class time. Late arrivals and early departures are not advised as it will interfere with creating a safe learning environment for others and will make certification discretionary.

Eventbrite - CERTIFIED AGILE LEADERSHIP (CAL1)®

Scrum’s incremental-iterative approach to software development requires Development Teams to find, learn, and implement solid technical practices. In recognition of this, the Scrum Alliance has created the Certified Scrum Developer program. This course is the first to meet the Scrum Alliance requirements for training in support of the CSD rating.

Jeff Sutherland, co-creator of Scrum, has said that the only hyper-productive teams he has seen have been using XP-style technical practices. This is no surprise: the practices shown below are practically essential to working in the Scrum style:

Participants in this course will experience the basic technical practices required to sustain a Scrum Project:

  • Collaborative Software Development
  • Test-Driven Development
  • Acceptance Testing
  • Simple Design
  • Refactoring
  • Continuous Integration
  • Coding Standards/ Java Implementation Patterns
